     I am Emma Donaldson, your Panhellenic President at UH Manoa!

     After serving my sorority in officer positions, I always had a soft spot for Panhellenic. I started off as the Panhellenic Delegate in my chapter and immediately saw how essential collaboration was between Greek organizations. Our community is large, but limited, and I saw so much potential in working together rather than prioritizing just my chapter. So, here I am as President!

    Some things I have been loving in my position is learning more about Panhellenic and Greek operations as a whole, meeting more amazing people, and serving my campus. It is definitely challenging at times balancing Panhellenic President and my studies — but I love being so involved on my campus.

 

     What helps me be the best I can be for my council and chapters is preparation, organization, and communication. Right from elections, I jumped into planning our year. Even though I knew a lot was going to be touch-and-go, it is best to start as soon as possible to respect everyone's time. It also takes a village to put on recruitment... which means communicating with a village! Being transparent has allowed everyone to be heard while also ensuring our tasks are completed. Finally, I do not know everything (crazy, I know) there is to know about sororities. I'm proud to have courage in reaching out to advisors, officers, and members for feedback.

     I have loved my time as Panhellenic President so far and cannot wait for recruitment and to see all that comes out of the rest of my time serving as President. In Panhellenic Spirit!
